At heart, Doctors of BC is a physician-led organization and always has been.
For 125 years, our Board of Directors and committees have set the course for everything we do. Along with our growth in physician members—we are now more than 18,000 doctors strong—our operational team has grown too, but the mission is unchanged: to support BC doctors as leaders in delivering and improving patient care.
With a strong Board and Representative Assembly and about 40 active physician committees, you can be sure that everything we do—the programs, advocacy, services, and benefits—is for BC doctors. The Doctors of BC team takes great pride and inspiration in this connection, knowing their work ultimately improves the lives of physicians and their patients.
In the 2024 Doctors of BC Report to Members, we focus on five real-world examples of the support the association provides to members:
