Negotiating fair and reasonable compensation
Physicians play a vital role in helping to improve BC’s health care system and ensuring its sustainability. Doctors of BC advocates on behalf of members to ensure that physicians receive fair and reasonable compensation through negotiated fees and agreements.
Part of this work involves negotiating several agreements and contracts with the Ministry of Health and other health care partners throughout the province, including the Physician Master Agreement (PMA), WorkSafeBC Agreements, MOCAP contracts, and local level service, salary, and sessional contracts for individual and groups of physicians.
