Whether you’re opening your office, planning for retirement, or at one of the many stages in between, Doctors of BC offers resources, information, toolkits, and one-to-one support to all physician members.

Our team of Advisors is here to support physicians throughout BC. Advisors understand business issues and direct doctors to the right sources for starting a business, establishing a clinic, managing an office, optimizing a business, or closing a practice.
They give one-on-one, personalized consideration to physicians’ business management queries, and provide direction to and context for the most valuable resources and information.

Ashley Buswell (Business Advisor)—Northern/Interior
In my role as a Business Advisor, I am dedicated to working in partnership with BC physicians. Drawing from my strong background in accounting and project management, I understand the value of a well-organized business. My goal is to provide physicians with the business supports they require when they require it. I approach my work with a caring and empathetic lens, getting to know the situation and circumstances before offering assistance. I am passionate about empowering physicians to be successful in their business endeavours so they can spend more time focusing on their invaluable work with patients.
Collin Croft (Billing Advisor)—All regions
In my role as a Billing Advisor with Doctors of BC, my goal is to provide the various Sections with billing educational resources that are accurate and detailed and to support up-to-date information on WorkSafe BC and ICBC fee code education. Leveraging my experience in physician billing support, I aim to provide empathetic and informative responses to billing needs. I strive to provide excellent service to all physicians to enhance their billing processes. The better we are informed about billing, the more time can be spent on what matters most: patient care.
Darla Maclver (Business Advisor)—Vancouver Island
In my role as Business Advisor at Doctors of BC, I leverage my experience as an MOA and office manager to provide tailored support to physicians. I have a comprehensive understanding of their business needs and challenges. My focus is on optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting physicians as they navigate through the complexities of the business of health care at any stage of their career. With an empathetic and passionate approach, I strive to deliver unparalleled service to ensure they feel supported and informed.
Erin Cayla (Business Advisor)—Lower Mainland
As a Business Advisor with Doctors of BC, my goal is to share the valuable resources our program has to offer. With more than 20 years of MOA and office manager experience supporting physicians’ clinics in the Lower Mainland, I’ve seen how vital the physician voice is to ensure successful medical practices. The most fulfilling part of my position is simplifying or removing burdens for physicians who are setting up a new practice, are in the middle of their career, planning their retirement, or at any stage in between. My primary focuses include listening to physicians’ needs, solving problems collaboratively, and offering the most appropriate business supports available. My aim is to create more time for physicians to focus on providing patient care, engaging in continuing education, and pursuing the projects they see as most beneficial to them.
Tania Webb (Business Advisor)—Lower Mainland/Vancouver Coastal
My focus is to empower doctors and their teams with practical, valuable advice to streamline clinic operations and navigate challenges as they arise in the daily management of their business. With over 12 years’ experience at Doctors of BC I’m proud to offer tailored support to reduce administrative burdens and free up more time for doctors to embrace a sustainable work/life balance.
