Doctors of BC is embarking upon phase two of a widespread member consultation to encourage greater diversity and inclusion among physician leaders within our governance bodies – Board, Representative Assembly and Committees. During this phase, we will be hosting focus group discussions with members throughout the province. This follows completion of the first phase in which we conducted a member survey.
The goal of these discussions is to better understand what barriers may prevent participation in our governance bodies, as well as what supports have enabled it. When we have a full range of view and perspectives among our leadership, then we can do the best job of planning for the future of the whole profession.There will be a number of focus group sessions offered throughout the month of June. We encourage you to join in and share your feedback.
