The Nominating Committee’s primary mandate is to nominate candidates for committees and elected positions in accordance with the Doctors of BC Bylaws.

The Nominating Committee shall:

  • Ensure there is at least one nomination for each officer position to be elected in any election.
  • Ensure there are at least three voting members in good standing of the Association nominated for the three positions of Member-at-Large of the Audit and Finance Committee.
  • Solicit, receive and review applications, including Statements of Interest and curriculum vitae for all positions where the Board must appoint the Chair or committee members. make recommendations to the Board for those positions.
  • Advise the Board on matters relating to nominations.
  • Review the composition and Terms of Reference of all committees and the leadership of all those committees that the Board has the responsibility for appointing.
