Log in hereThe Allocation Support Committee (ASC) is established by the Doctors of BC Board to provide ongoing support to the allocation process. Meeting on a regular basis, the ASC:
- Develops standard datasets for the allocation process -- which includes information on intersectional and interprovincial compensation comparisons.
- Provides the standard datasets to the Sections as they are developed and seeks input from the sections regarding this data.
- Calculates the allocation by Section in Stage 1 of an allocation, in accordance with the Two-Stage Fee Allocation Process.
- Provides data support and allocation options during the mediation phase to the Sectional Allocation Forum (SAF).
When developing the allocation options, the ASC will consider the stated goals and objectives of the negotiations. If the Stage 2 allocation proceeds to arbitration, the ASC will provide the arbitrator all data provided to sections and the SAF during the mediation phase, excluding the allocation options.
