Artificial Intelligence in Health Care

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can empower physicians by reducing administrative and cognitive burdens, improving clinical workflows, and enhancing both the delivery and experience of patient care. To guide the responsible and effective integration of AI in health care, Doctors of BC calls for the inclusion of physicians in multi-stakeholder AI governance and oversight. As these applications evolve, physician leadership will help ensure that clinical expertise and accountability are at the forefront of AI design, development, and implementation across BC’s health care system.
