EMR Skill Building Sessions are designed to help family physicians, medical office assistants (MOAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and other practice team members expand their expertise in using their Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The hour-long virtual sessions offer valuable skills and knowledge specific to the EMR you use. They will provide helpful time-saving tips and tricks, and the opportunity to ask questions and share knowledge with your colleagues.

Led by a team of physician and MOA peer mentors and PSP (Practice Support Program) coaches, each session will provide a live demonstration of EMR workflows that focus on gaps in EMR use, and ‘hot topics’ specific to emerging initiatives for primary care providers. Sample topics may include:

  • Workflows for keeping your panel in the Provincial Attachment System (PAS) up to date
  • Screening and prevention strategies
  • Scheduling and advanced access
  • Digital referrals and orders
  • Workflows specific to payment models (e.g., LFP, NTP contracts)
