Call for nominations: Doctors of BC’s Board of Directors By-Election

On January 31, all members received the call for nominations for Doctors of BC’s Board of Directors By-Election. As a result of Board Director Dr Adam Thompson assuming his role as President-Elect on the Board, there is now one Family Physician Director-at-Large vacancy.

Nomination process 

All candidates for Board of Director positions are nominated by eligible Doctors of BC members and elected by the Representative Assembly (RA). To be eligible to nominate an individual – or be nominated – you must be a Doctors of BC member in good standing in a category eligible to hold office and vote.  

The nomination period is open from January 31, 2025, until 11:59pm on February 12, 2025.

Nomination and RA election timeline 

• Nominations Close: Wednesday February 12, 2025, at 11:59pm

• All Campaign Materials Due: Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 12:00pm (noon)

• Electronic Voting by the RA Starts: Thursday February 27, 2025

• Electronic Voting by the RA Ends: Wednesday April 2, 2025, at 11:59pm

• Election Results Announced: Thursday April 3, 2025
