On Monday, November 4, 2024, all eligible members will receive an email inviting their participation in the upcoming election for president-elect. The voting window will be open from November 4, 2024, until 11:59pm on December 5, 2024.
President-Elect candidates
This year, the following candidates are running for president-elect (listed in alphabetical order):

Candidate platforms will be available on Doctors of BC’s website as of November 4, 2024, and will also be included on the voting website. **Please note that Doctors of BC’s website will be undergoing maintenance from November 29 – December 2. Campaign materials will still be accessible on the voting website during this time. Alternatively, members may wish to download them from Doctors of BC’s website prior to November 29 for future reference.
President-Elect online forum
Doctors of BC will be hosting an online forum for the president-elect candidates on Wednesday, November 13, from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Please register online to attend.
How to cast your vote
An email invitation will come from “ElectionBuddy” and will include a link to the external voting site and all necessary login information. As there is more than one candidate for this position, Preferential Voting will be used to determine the successful candidate. This method of voting requires that members rank all candidates in order of preference, so that the successful candidates receive a majority of the votes.
All ballots cast will remain anonymous. The information will be encrypted on the ElectionBuddy server until voting closes, at which time all identifiers will be removed and only the results will be sent to Doctors of BC.

If you do not receive your email invitation from ElectionBuddy on November 4, or have technical difficulties accessing the voting site or logging in, please contact ElectionBuddy directly at or Doctors of BC at .
Members will be notified of the election results on Friday, December 6, 2024.
