October 18, 2021
News
Doctors of BC cares about the safety, health, and wellbeing of its members, particularly as we navigate these challenging times.
Creating a safe environment in your office is crucial for your wellbeing, and that of your staff and patients. As part of our ongoing work in the areas of physician health and safety, Doctors of BC recognizes the need for proactive safety management advice for our members, and will be presenting a webinar on the topic on October 28, from 6:00p.m to 7:30p.m. PDT. This webinar is accredited for 1.5 MOC Section 1 and Mainpro+ group learning credits, approved by the UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development (UBC CPD).
The webinar will provide practical information and useful advice to help physicians better protect themselves, and improve the safety of their offices. Topics include:
Violence prevention
Situation management
Physician responsibilities and obligations
Support and training for staff
An extended questions and answers period will allow members to ask the panel for their thoughts and feedback, and provide the chance to share their experiences with other BC physicians.
The webinar will feature expert panelists, who are there to provide their thoughts and feedback to participating physicians:
Dr Derek Puddester – College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
Dr Liisa Honey – CMPA
Mr Domenic Crolla – Partner, Gowling WLG
