What you told us: 2023 Benchmark Member Survey results

Our bi-annual Benchmark Member Survey is a core element in our commitment to better understand members’ needs, identify your priorities, and shape how we can best engage with you. Your ongoing feedback reveals a historical snapshot that provides context, identifies areas where we deliver excellent support and value along with areas that require improvement, and enables us to effectively advocate on your behalf with stakeholders.

What did we learn?

This year’s results show that despite ongoing strains to our health care system and challenges faced by doctors:

• The majority of respondents (78%) feel well-informed about Doctors of BC’s activities;
• 73% see the association as understanding what matters to BC doctors;
• And 67% believe Doctors of BC does a good job of representing their interests on critical issues.

There is room for improvement, specifically when it comes to improving opportunities for members to share their opinion with us and in continuing to respond to your needs.

Next steps

Doctors of BC will use the feedback shared in this survey to continue improving our services for and our engagement with members.
