Important: President-Elect run-off voting information
A verification of the results in the vote for President-Elect has been completed, resulting in a tie between Dr Brian Day and Dr Alan Ruddiman. The Chief Electoral Officer has determined that a run-off vote will be held between the two candidates. For the full media statement, click here.
The new election will begin on Friday, June 5th with voting open until 11:59 PM on Thursday, June 18th, 2015.

President Elect Candidate Statements
We encourage all eligible voting members to participate, therefore, please ensure you are a member in good standing before 11:59 PM on Thursday, June 4th so that you receive your ballot via email.
Only members in good standing are eligible to vote. To be in good standing, you must ensure that your 2015 membership dues are paid before midnight on June 4th. Also, please confirm that we have your correct e-mail address.
To ensure you are eligible to vote:
- Pay your dues or confirm your payment by going to “My Account / My Dues, Section & Societies / Pay Dues”
- Ensure that your e-mail address is correct by contacting the Doctors of BC Membership Department at or call 604.638.2927 or 1.800.665.2262 ext 2927
As always, medical students, non-resident members, and restricted members are not eligible to vote in Doctors of BC elections.
To cast your ballot:
On Friday, June 5th, eligible voters will receive an email from Doctors of BC (via ) with the subject line “DOCTORS OF BC PRESIDENT-ELECT VOTE”. This email will be your e-ballot and your invitation to vote. As before, this will be an electronic vote with no paper ballots.
The email will also contain a link to the voting website as well as all log-in information. Biographical information and campaign platforms for both candidates will be available on the Doctors of BC website on June 5, 2015.
