Exercise is the best medicine, B.C. doctors say

As part of our Walk With Your Doc health promotion campaign, Doctors of BC will  provide  prescription pads to doctors so that you can prescribe physical activity to encourage patients to improve their fitness levels.

Dr Ron Wilson, a member of the Doctors of BC Council on Health Promotion, told the Vancouver Sun’s Pamela Fayerman: “As physicians, we are better placed than anyone else to influence patients. Apart from not smoking, being active is the next best thing patients can do.”

The pads will be provided to doctors who register to participate in the Walk With Your Doc, or you can to request one.
