Amanda Gagne Students & residents

Amanda has been in the insurance industry since 2012. She's helped university students across Canada understand and maximize their insurance benefits from their associations. After moving to BC, she not only got her insurance license but also designed custom benefits plans for small businesses and their employees. Now as an Early Career Specialist, Amanda is eager to guide young individuals through insurance complexities as they begin and progress in their medical careers.

Jennifer has worked in a variety of roles throughout the insurance industry and is truly passionate about helping physicians and their families protect what matters most to them. With a diverse background in financial and estate planning and advice, Jennifer strives to ensure solutions are tailored to the objectives and goals of the member.

Hali brings 25 years’ experience with some of Canada’s largest financial institutions. Recently she worked for one of the largest Canadian insurers, to provide the best suited options available in today’s market. Members can feel confident knowing their best interests has been the deciding factor in each recommendation. Hali has held the Certified Financial Planner designation in good standing since 1999.

Paula Rooney, CHS Vancouver Coastal

Paula originally hails from Ireland, where she has over 9 years’ experience working in the Financial Services industry. While Paula was living in Ireland she obtained her Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation and managed a mortgage and life insurance planning team. In Canada, she worked at a large insurance consulting firm before joining Doctors of BC in 2011. As a licensed Advisor, Paula has strong technical knowledge of the Doctors of BC programs as well as individual plans that Doctors of BC offers. Paula provides objective advice on both existing and new insurance policies. She enjoys taking a comprehensive approach to member’s needs analysis and ensures that members have the best solution to fit their situation. Paula holds the Certified Health Insurance Specialist designation.

Tu-Anh has 7 years of experience working in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Doctors of BC, Tu-Anh serviced a diverse range of clientele, from young families to corporate business owners and professionals. Tu-Anh is passionate about the insurance planning process. She enjoys helping individuals navigate through all the complexities of insurance through strategic planning and advice.

Prior to joining Doctors of BC, Lisa worked as an insurance broker for one of Western Canada’s largest independently owned firms. Specializing in seminars on financial planning for young families and group benefits for small businesses, Lisa’s practice has been largely focused on education. With over 15 years of business and financial experience, she is passionate about helping young professionals and families understand the importance of insurance and helping them navigate their options. Lisa is currently working toward her Certified Financial Planner designation.
